Management Team



Kristie Harrell
President

Kristie joined Don's Johns full time in 1992. She is the granddaughter of founders Don and Thelma Rainwater and started helping at Don's Johns from the age of 10 stuffing envelopes for billing. She has done every job in the company - from service driver to Quality Control to President.

Kristie has grown the company to become the standard for portable restrooms in the Washington D.C. Metro Area.

Prior to Don's Johns full time, Kristie worked as a lobbyist for an Anti-Apartheid Lobbying Firm. She then worked briefly for a law firm before passing up law school to join her families' business.

Kristie holds a BA degree in International Studies from West Virginia University. She attended the University of Pennsylvania in their international studies program spending time in Nigeria (Africa).

Kristie is the loving mother of three amazing children. According to Wyatt (Kristie's middle child), "mom is really cool and nice and I love her like butter."




Conrad Harrell
Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Technology

Conrad joined Don's Johns full time in 2001. Conrad is responsible for the leadership of the Sales and Marketing departments as well as the implementation of technologies to make Don's Johns successful. Conrad has brought GPS, Radio Frequency inventory management (SPUD) as well as route optimization (TAC Total Activity Control from Clear Computing) to Don's Johns.

Prior to joining Don's Johns, Conrad worked for management consultant PRTM in their strategy practice working for clients such as Nortel, Bay Networks, IBM, IFC World Bank Group, and Leviton Manufacturing.

Conrad spent 6 years in the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineer Group of Computer Sciences Corporation working as Project Manager and Engineer for clients such as the US Navy.

Conrad worked through college as a driver, toilet assembler and yard team for Don's Johns Inc.

Conrad holds a MBA in Strategy and Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Conrad has a BS in Marine Engineering Systems from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.




Matt Dunston
Senior Operations Manager

Matt joined Don's Johns full time in 2003. Matt is responsible for the day to day operations and full work load of Don's Johns. Matt has been instrumental in the development and implementation of innovative compensation programs, automated routing systems, and quality control programs that have assisted Don's Johns in achieving operational excellence. Matt has led our operational effort in some of the largest temporary restroom events in the world including 9 of the top 10 special events in Washington, DC. Matt is the grandson of original founders Don and Thelma Rainwater and brother of Kristie.

Matt formerly worked for Deloitte and Touche as an auditor. His clients included The Gap, Fry's Electronics & Eplus.

Matt worked through college summers as a driver and water systems installation technician for Don's Johns.

Matt received his BS in accounting from Sonoma State University in California.

Matt is an avid Redskin Fan. He also likes to wrestle with his nephews.




Gary Dahmer
Fleet Manager

Gary is the Fleet Manager at Don's Johns Inc. In this capacity he is responsible for all fleet functions, equipment specifications, purchasing, licensing, maintenance, and cost controls. Gary has implemented the Dossier fleet maintenance software system to effectively manage fleet costs and increase equipment utilization. He also assists Operation and Safety Managers in purchasing, operational and technical issues, he is also responsible for facility maintenance.

Prior to joining Don's Johns Inc., Gary was self employed as a Transportation Consultant working with private fleets, dealerships and trucking companies in the Northern and Central Virginia areas. He has experience in the following industries: Distribution and Warehousing, Manufacturing and Processing, Equipment Rental and Leasing and Fleet Transportation. He has experience in fleet maintenance, safety, inventory and cost control and fleet maintenance software implementation.

Gary graduated from University of Delaware with a BS in Transportation. He is a member of the VTA and TMC. He holds numerous OEM certifications in the Trucking Industry.




David Harrell
Controller

David is the newest member of the Don's Johns management team, joining the company in 2008. David is responsible for Finance and Accounting.

David's background spans companies such as a Fortune 100 company, a big six accounting firm, and a startup. His experience includes industries such as manufacturing, retail, internet, high-tech, construction, land development, resort management, and consulting services. Most recently he was the Controller of Split Rock, a land development and construction company in St. George, Utah.

David holds a MBA in Finance and Operations and a BS in Accounting from the Marriott School of Management of Brigham Young University.

When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, rock climbing, and hiking.
